From dark to daylight
Daniela StarCat founded Deep Playa NYC in 2020, and she and her crew went on to produce the largest overnight outdoor rave in NYC history. Her marathon sunrise sets have played out on beach stages in Brooklyn and Miami, jungle altars, forest stages and open-air gatherings, including Plumb Beach in Brooklyn.
Whether a set runs 90 minutes or seven hours, she builds a cinematic journey through tension, release and expansive states. Her openers and closers are statement pieces, and the sunrise moment is always the point of the night.

How long are Daniela StarCat’s sunrise sets?
Anywhere from 90 minutes to seven hours or more. Marathon sets that carry a crowd from darkness into daylight are her specialty.
Does she play festivals and regional burns?
Yes. She was music director, stage designer and a headlining DJ at CAMP Festival from 2022 to 2025, has played Elements Festival, Burning Man art cars including Blockhaus and Mystic Flyer, Love Burn and other regionals, and serves as NY Regional Contact for the Burning Man Organization.
Can she help design an outdoor stage?
Yes. She has designed sound stages for CAMP Festival, Love Burn and other events, and offers creative direction for lighting, décor and staging.
What equipment does she need?
Two Pioneer CDJ-3000s and a Pioneer DJM-A9, DJM-V10 or DJM-900NXS2 mixer. The full tech rider is in the press kit.
